Can I get a BOOYAH? That's right folks, it's that time again, time for the Third Annual Fannie Awards! This time, we are looking at the best of the best for the year 2007, and there are quite a few to choose from this year. With the new season, we saw an influx of new authors and new ideas, giving us over 1,000 new stories this year. So many tales to choose from, so little time.

So let's get to what this is all about! You, the people, are the ones that decide who wins each and every award! Make your selections on the handy list I'm providing below. Any story written or contributed to in the year is eligible to win, with one exception. Those stories and writers who won previously in a category can not win again this year, though the awards for Best Writer and Best Series can be the previous winners again after 2 years. This is to help open up the field for everyone to have a chance. See the list below for all the details.

This year, one category has been removedby the decision of the Fannie Awards Committee. Best Single Line has been removed. We have added 3 new categories though, thanks to the votes of the Fannie Awards Committee. These include Best Young Author, Best Short Story, and Best Writing Team. Finally, we have one returning category, Best Songfic, which was voted back unanimously by everyone. All 4 new and returning categories were voted on by the Committee, and I hope you will embrace them as well.

This year, there will be a slightly different format. There will be 2 rounds of voting this time. Voting for the first round will end at 11:59 pm EST on January 31st, 2008. These ballots will be done as normal, by the ballot form provided below and submitting them to me by PM or by email at zaratan4@hotmail.com .

The second round will start immeadiately after that, and will include the top 5 vote getting stories and writers in each category in a secret poll format hosted on my forum on fanfiction.net (www.fanfiction.net/forum/Kim_P…) . For those without an FF.net account, you can email your response to me, and I will add it to the final count. This round will run for anouther 2 weeks, until 11:59 pm, February 14th, 2008.

The awards show will then start Saturday, February 23rd, 2008, after all votes have been tabulated, award winner speeches submitted and added, and all the details are finalized.

Think of this as sweeps week folks, as the action heats up across the board. As Recovery and The Ronless Factor both hit the big 2-5, we have the biggest events yet! You don't want to miss a moment, especially in Recovery, as one of the biggest moments of the series happens Monday night! And it's full blown action across the board as Kim, Ron, and Bonnie move to confront Drakken and Shego in The Ronless Factor.

Monday, April 9th - Recovery - Chapter 25 - Ron has been acting stranger than usual, but before Kim can find out what's going on, the pair of them are thrust into a mission.

Tuesday, April 10th - Impossible Love - Chapter 12 - Kimberly and Ronald have been joined by Joshua and Bonnie, and now those released emotions are put on hold as they make the final stretch back to the palace. But are they in time to stop Lipsky and save the kingdom? And just how did Joshua and Bonnie get there?

Wednesday, April 11th - Valentine's Surprise - Chapter 7 - Ron and Bonnie have settled things, and things have gotten better, now that they know where they stand. So what happens when Kim is out of action, and Ron has to take things in hand. Why, Bonnie decides to help!

Thursday, April 12th - Life's Strange Turns - Chapter 4 - Vacation's over, and now the real fun begins, as Kim and Shego have to find some way to work together. Of course, that doesn't mean Dementor's going to make their first mission together all that easy.

Friday, April 13th - The Ronless Factor - Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 special! Drakken and Shego have been found. It's confrontation time!

I think that just shows how strong this community truely is. Now though, with new episodes set to hit the airwaves starting February 14th (nice that they'll start things off on Valentine's Day, just hoping that includes Canada), interest is only going to increase. That doesn't mean that this past year didn't produce some amazing stories.

This year, one category has been removed, due to lack of interest. Best Songfic (guess I won't be repeating the win there this year lol) has been removed. We have added 4 new categories though, thanks to the votes of the Fannie Awards commitee. These include Best Villain, Best AU, Best Original Character Name, and Best Single Line. All 4 were fully endorsed by the group, and I hope you will embrace them as well.

To cast your votes for your choice of winners, simply email or private message me with your votes by copying and pasting the category list below and filling it in with your choices for who you would like to win. Remember, this is a people's choice type award. While all nominees as voted by you will be posted on the website, only the top 3 will make the awards presentation, and the one with the highest number of votes wins. I finally locked down a brand new job, working as the assistant to the General Manager of a rather good sized packaging company. Starting Monday, I'll finally be able to settle into a solid, workable schedule that won't change every single day, with steady hours, steady pay, and weekends free. You know how long I have been wanting something like this! Add in the fact that I'll be groomed to take over the general manager's position within a year, and I must say I am VERY happy!
